Corrections Policy
When we get something wrong — factually or clinically — here’s exactly how we fix it.
We Fix, Not Hide
Errors are corrected in place, not quietly buried.
Anyone Can Report
Readers, brands, and veterinary professionals can all flag a mistake.
Clinical Errors Go to Dr. Kumar
Reported clinical or safety concerns are routed to our veterinary reviewer.
1. Our Commitment
BestDog.Food’s clinical claims are reviewed by a veterinarian, but mistakes can still happen — an outdated formulation, a misstated AAFCO guideline, a broken retailer link. When they do, we correct them as soon as we’re made aware, rather than leaving inaccurate information live.
2. How to Report an Error
- Find the article. Note the exact URL or headline of the guide containing the error.
- Tell us what’s wrong. Email us with the specific claim you believe is incorrect and, if possible, a source supporting the correct information.
- We review it. Factual claims are checked against the original source; clinical or safety claims are routed to Dr. Kumar for review.
- We update the article. If the correction is confirmed, we fix it directly in the published piece.
Email corrections to contact@loopedinlooks.com or use our contact page.
3. Types of Corrections
- Minor corrections — typos, small factual details — are fixed without a separate note on the article.
- Significant corrections — anything that changes a clinical or safety claim, or a fact readers relied on — are fixed and, where appropriate, accompanied by a brief correction note indicating what changed and when.
4. Product & Formulation Updates
Manufacturers change formulations and recalls happen. These are treated as routine updates rather than “errors,” since they reflect the product changing after we published, not a mistake at the time of writing. We still aim to keep this information current. See our Disclaimer for more on this.
5. What This Policy Doesn’t Cover
This policy covers factual and clinical accuracy, not disagreement with a product ranking, which reflects editorial judgment rather than a factual claim — see our Editorial Policy. If you believe content infringes your copyright, see our DMCA Policy instead.

7. Why We Publish This Policy
A site giving feeding recommendations has a higher bar to clear than most — a wrong claim here isn’t just an inconvenience, it could affect a dog’s health. We’d rather correct a mistake in public than pretend it never happened, because a site that hides its errors gives readers no way to actually trust it.
8. How Clinical Corrections Differ from Editorial Ones
Not every correction needs Dr. Kumar’s involvement. A broken retailer link or an outdated price is a routine editorial fix. A claim about whether a particular ingredient is safe for dogs with a specific health condition, on the other hand, gets routed to him specifically, because that’s the kind of claim where being wrong actually matters to a dog’s wellbeing rather than just to the accuracy of the page.
9. If You’re a Veterinary Professional
If you’re a veterinarian, veterinary technician, or veterinary nutritionist and you’ve spotted a clinical issue in one of our guides, we especially want to hear from you. Include your professional background along with the correction so we can weigh it appropriately alongside Dr. Kumar’s review — a second clinical perspective is genuinely useful to us, not an inconvenience.
We’d rather get that kind of feedback and act on it than have a guide sit with an outdated or incomplete claim simply because nobody with the relevant expertise happened to flag it.
